Our work - transforming care

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) was formed on 1 April 2020 following the merger of University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and Weston Area Health NHS Trust.

The information on this page is historic. Visit the UHBW About us pages for the latest information.

Our focus is unrelentingly on delivering best care and ensuring our patients' need are at the heart of all that we do. In order to lead and run a successful organisation, we also need to ensure that patient flow through our hospitals is efficient, that we deliver best value, that we build the capability of our staff members, and that we play a leading, partnership role in health and care delivery. Getting these things right enables us to improve the quality of our service and do the right thing for patients.

At University Hospitals Bristol everything we do fits into the six pillars of our Transforming Care programme - Delivering best care, Improving patient flow, Delivering best value, Renewing our hospitals, Building capability and Leading in partnership.
