NIHR Learning Management System

The NIHR also offer courses through their Learning Management System on the following:

  • Human Tissue Act
  • Mental Capacity Act

To be eligible to undertake the training free of charge you must be working on an NIHR portfolio study or be working within a NIHR Clinical Research Network. More information on how to access these courses can be found here

University of Bristol Short Courses

The University of Bristol School of Social and Community Medicine is a leading centre for
epidemiology, health services research and public health in the UK.  We offer a comprehensive short course programme for researchers and health care practitioners.

The School of Social and Community Medicine programme includes courses in biostatistics, epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, qualitative research, health economics, health protection, appraisal and synthesis of research, and research design and conduct.

 Courses are aimed at university staff and post-graduate students, public health specialists, health-care professionals and members of the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. They are designed and taught by members of the School, with some invited speakers from the UK and abroad. The short course programme is highly regarded and student feedback on these courses is excellent. Fees are payable (reduced rates for UH Bristol staff)

University of the West of England Courses

The University of the West of England (UWE) courses in SPSS.
