The BRI is located in the centre of Bristol close to Bristol bus and coach station.  There is a set down bay directly outside and opposite the hospital on Upper Maudlin Street. Our hospitals are located in very busy areas of the city, with severely restricted roadside parking. Some parking is available and is shown on our site map, together with the location of disabled parking bays.

Our surgical clinics run from Clinics A410 (was clinic 9) and A407 (was clinic 10) located on level 4 of the main building of the BRI.

We also offer a Nurse-led clinic

This is used for

Routine follow up of surgery for upper GI cancers

  • Assessment for prehabilitation
  • Holistic needs assessment (HNA)
  • Face to face discussions with patients and families where appropriate
  • These run alongside our consultant clinics and offer more flexibility for patients to access our service and clinical expertise. They would replace a consultant appointment on that occasion only; patients will remain under an upper GI consultants care.
