STP in Bristol

The STP in Bristol consists of:

First year:

  • Induction                                     
  • Rotational training (four x 12 weeks)

Second and third year:

  • Specialism including research project 

 

The STP rotations for each specialism are:

Medical Physics

  • Imaging with non-ionising radiation
  • Radiotherapy physics
  • Imaging with ionising radiation
  • Radiation safety

Bioinformatics

  • Introduction to Clinical Bioinformatics and Genetics
  • Computing for Clinical Scientists
  • ICT in the Clinical Environment
  • Introduction to Health Informatics

Vascular Science

  • Cardiology
  • Vascular Science
  • Respiratory and Sleep Science
  • Clinical Assessment & Investigations

 

Open days

Our next OPEN DAY in the Department of Medical Physics & Bioengineering will be held on 3rd January 2018 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  These are aimed at undergraduates or postgraduates interested in applying for the STP training programme.
