The UH Bristol Commissioning and Planning Team acts as a central business support function to all of the Clinical Divisions within UH Bristol, representing them in external relations with commissioners. This involves negotiation of service contracts and tenders and working with commissioners to agree activity and capacity to meet waiting time targets, or other local and national priorities. The team also has a focus on primary care liaison with GPs and their practice staff and welcomes being used as a point of contact for general queries. The team is also happy to visit individual practices or attend meetings to update colleagues on Trust developments or discuss interface issues.
