Nurse-led aural treatment clinic

Direct referrals from GPs accepted for problems relating to otitis externa, mastoid cavities, perforated ear drums, chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM), removal of long-term impacted wax.

Please state current problem and relevant aural history including previous ear surgery or perforations.

Emergency treatment

Immediate access clinic - lumps and suspected malignancy in head and neck

Direct access by GPs. Consultation/assessment with cytological diagnosis where considered appropriate.

Contact the on-call ENT SHO via UHBristol Switchboard for next available clinic 0117 923 0000.

The GP is responsible for informing the patient of the date/time of appointment and the patient should either be given a referral letter or a letter headed For Access To Clinic should be faxed to the department, Fax: 0117 3425117.
