Whole person care: Homeopathy as an integrative medicine
Dr Liz Thompson, consultant homeopathic physician and academic
director at the Bristol Homeopathic Hospital will introduce
participants to holistic concepts in medical practice and a vision
of integrative medicine in the future.
Elizabeth Thompson is lead clinician for an outpatient service
from the Bristol Homeopathic Hospital with a team of six doctors,
and she is the academic codirector for a five year academic
teaching programme which includes the BHH master classes and GEMS
post graduate study days which have been a great success. She also
runs the Integrative Cancer Care Service.
Dr Thompson was awarded her DM thesis from Oxford University in
2009, the first homeopathic thesis to sit in the Bodleian library
describing her research into the use of homeopathy for the cancer
patient. She is a Fellow and Vice President of the Faculty of
Homeopathy, and works within the self care Faculty of the College
